Hi Alanna,
Last week I met up with Becky Hunter to discuss the 2-person show she has proposed for us. I am very excited about planning an exhibition with another artist; it seems like this will be a challenging and worthwhile project. She showed me some images of the collages you are currently working on, looks interesting.
My apologies for not writing sooner, I’ve been busy post-grad school.
I think the challenge will be finding a commonality between our work that conveys a profound idea. It seems doubtful it will be thematic link, more likely we should figure out a subtle thread between us. I am interested in material and physical qualities of photography and how culture is rapidly changing these relationships; somehow I see an abstract relationship between this and your recent collage work.
I’ll keep pondering how to proceed and please let me know your thoughts.
